Farmhand is the farm-inputs and crop-planning app for Zimbabwean farmers, operated by Bryan Rose in Harare, Zimbabwe. Questions or requests about your data: support@farmhand.co.zw.
Only what the app needs to run your farm's store and crop plans: your account email and password; your farm's name and region; your lands and their sizes; your products, stock levels, receipts, sign-outs and crop records; the FIRST names of workers you add (so sign-outs can say who took what); and any photos you choose to add to a planting.
No national ID numbers. No workers' surnames, phone numbers or personal details. No location tracking — the app only knows what you type in.
Your data is stored on secure servers in Europe (our hosting provider, Supabase, in Frankfurt, Germany — a region with strong data-protection law). It is encrypted in transit, and every farm's data is isolated: one farm can never see another farm's records. By creating an account you consent to your farm's data being stored on these servers outside Zimbabwe.
Only the people signed in to your farm. We never sell your data, and we never share it with suppliers, buyers or anyone else without your say-so.
From Farm → Farm details & settings you can export everything your farm has recorded, and you can delete your farm's data entirely — gone is gone. We keep your data only while your account is active.
If a data breach ever puts your information at risk, we will inform you within 72 hours and report it to the authorities as the law requires.
Farmhand is built to comply with Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act. This policy is written to be read, not to hide things — if anything is unclear, ask us.
